Hair Vitamins for Healthy and Strong Hair Growth in Ecuri Supplements
Hair vitamins and supplement pills are commonly made with ingredients essential for hair growth: vitamin C and Biotin.
The damaging bodily and psychological effects caused by hair loss and hair thinning on self-image and self-esteem are well known, while the promises of thick and lushes locks and a healthy hair growth offered by the vitamin industry appear to be very enticing. But often they are regarded as ‘made-up’ stories and are not taken very seriously.
Maybe this disbelief exists due to the fact that these ‘miracle solutions’ are simply handed out to us in a bottle. Or maybe for some it all sounds too easy and too good to be true. However, there appears to be enough conclusive evidence that confirms the notion that hair vitamins and supplement pills actually do work and aren’t only ineffective placebos.
Most hair vitamins contain similar ingredients, such as Vitamins C and Biotin, as well as other nutrients. All of them have been shown to be essential for healthy hair growth. These nutrients are also important for the body to function as efficiently as it can, and many of them can be found in a variety of fresh fruit and veggies.
So, our bodies are already taking all these elements and vitamins in and they should be a part of our diet. This consistently ensures that those nutrients and vitamins travel through our bloodstream to essential organs and then to our hair follicles.
Hair vitamins that really enhance hair growth
Vitamin C: helps to grow and strengthen hair, creates the collagen protein which is an essential component of hair structure. Also helps the blood absorb iron, which is a mineral essential for hair to grow.
Biotin: this is a coenzyme that has a great effect on making of proteins. One of them is keratin, the protein from which hair is made out of. Biotin is also claimed to improve the strength and elasticity of the thickest layer of the hair, the so called cortex.
Several studies in the US and UK show that these hair vitamins are more effective than placebos when put into pill form. The researchers registered that the hair supplements with biotin and vitamin C effectively promoted significant hair growth in women with temporary thinning hair after 90 and 180 days.
There are more and more data, and more and more studies which are actually finding out what the supplements are doing for hair follicle and the cortex.
Sceptics continue to argue the placebo effect
While the deficiencies of iron and vitamin D can contribute to hair loss, there isn’t enough evidence that supports the efficacy of vitamin pills, like biotin. People spend so much money on them, trying the only biotin supplements and failing to restore hair loss before ending up in a dermatologist’s office for prescription drugs like finasteride and minoxidil or with a hair restoration surgeon for hair transplantation.
Trusting in only biotin supplements may be a wrong approach to hair loss problems. Some people think that taking only one vitamin like biotin will help reverse their hair loss, but what they don’t realize is that hair loss is often genetic, and therefore caused by the androgen DHT hormone.
An alternative to the Biotin vitamins is offered by such DHT blocking prescription drugs like finasteride and minoxidil. While demonstrating enough efficacies in boosting and regenerating the capacity for hair growth, they also cause some unpleasant and unwelcome side effects such as diminished libido or sex drive and even impotence.
However, there are also well known natural DHT Blockers which do not have such harmful effects on the essential functions of our body and yet put a stop to hair loss. One of them is the Saw Palmetto extract. When combined with Biotin and Vitamin C it works by shortening the shedding portion of the hair cycle (telogen) and prolonging the growth phase (anogen) as well as converting the age-related, genetic hair loss (androgenetic alopecia) to thicker hair and more hair growth.
Be Patient is the key
In addition, many people have reservations about hair supplement products because they have high expectations. They get disappointed when they don’t see results right away. Vitamins work on hair from the inside and have to go all the way through the bloodstream until they reach the hair follicles. Since hair is not an essential organ-like part of the body, it can take longer for it to receive the nourishment from the vitamins. Hair vitamins are not magic. They simply allow your hair to reach its full potential and enhance what the body is capable of. Growing hair simply is one of the things in the body that takes some time and patience and that’s what vitamins are for.
